ox tale Jamaican style in slow cooker
Ingredients:
2 Lb. ox tale 1 potato 1 carrot 2 celery stalks 1 C garbanzo beans (cooked) Ox tail marinating spice mix. 2 Tbsp. dried thyme 1 tbsp. dried rosemary 1/2 Tbsp. chili pepper 1 Tbsp. light olive oil 1 Tsp. Garlic paste Searing ingredients: 2 Tbsp. butter 1Tbsp. fresh minced ginger Spice mix: 1 Tbsp. dried mountain thyme 1Tbsp grated peppercorn 1tsp. smoked paprika 1tsp. Himalayan garlic salt powder 1Tbsp.sweet Spanish paprika 1tsp. Turmeric Beef broth: 1/4 C red wine 1 /4 C light soy sauce 1 C beef broth 1 Tbsp. garlic/chili pepper marinating sauce 2 Tbsp. Sriracha Chili sauce Making: Rinse, peel and chop potato, carrot, and celery stalks in 2-inch pieces. Set aside Rinse, pat dry ox tales Coat the all pieces with marinating mix. Marinate for 2 hrs. Melt the butter in a Dutch oven on medium heat add ginger Place the meat and sear all sides of the pieces well browned. Place them in the slow cooker Prepare spice mix and the beef broth. Spread the spice mix on the meat and pour the beef broth over Adjust the slow cooker for 4 hrs. After 3 rd hour add the cut vegetables and garbanzo beans. Let it continue to cook.
