fried meat balls,potato and Green pepper combo
There is nothing tastier than pan fried meatballs laid on fried potatoes and topped with fried green pepper and tomato sauce. Garnished with garlic yogurt and melted butter for summer suppers.
Ingredients: 1 Lb. ground round 2 garlic cloves (minced) 1 tbsp. tomato paste 1/2 C oat meal 1 medium size onion (graded) 2 eggs Salt Pepper 1 bunch of parsley (chopped in small pieces) ---------------------- I Lb. long sweet green chili pepper 5 midsize potatoes 2 C tomato sauce 2 Tbsp. pepper paste 1 Tbsp. tomato paste 1 Tbsp. olive oil 1 Cup garlic yogurt (2 cloves of garlic) set a side if desired. Melted and slightly browned 4 Tbsp. butter Making: Bring together first 9 ingredients in a large bowl mix together and make a meat dough Knead well to all ingredients incorporated well. walnut size of the meat dough and form a small meat ball. Set aside in a dish as they are being placed one layer. On the other side in sauce ball bring tomato sauce, 1 Tbsp. olive oil, red pepper paste, tomato paste together, mix well and bring to the boiling point on the medium heat. Set aside. Then, peel the potatoes chop them as big as one half of walnut. Set aside Cut all the green peppers 1/2 inch long and set aside. Prepare garlic yogurt in a serving dish, and keep ready in case needed. In a wok or large Teflon(nonstick) pan heat 2 Tbsp. oil add all potatoes mix well all pieces coated with oil. On a medium heat fry potato in two separate group for about 15 minutes. Transfer them on to a large serving dish. Use same pan not necessarily add more oil put all peppers and fry them too. ( about 10 minutes) Transfer them on to another dish, set aside. This time add 2 more Tbsp. olive oil and add half of the meat balls. Let them cook and fry about 10-15 minutes. Transfer meat balls on to the potatoes. Follow with frying second part of the meat balls and transfer them also on to the potatoes. Lay the fried peppers on the meat balls And pour the tomato sauce over the whole meal. At this point melt the butter in small pan, slightly burn and pour over the tomato sauce.
