Beef Kebob in a Clay Pot Kitchen Tips 1 :
If you like lamb meat this recipe can be fixed with lam meat also. It is quick, presentable and very tasty. To be fast with beef you can use pressure cook with a little water initially. Otherwise baking the beef cubes in its own juice in a clay pot with the lid tightly closed you will have softer meat and tastier meal at the end. Kitchen Tips 2 : Add the salt in meat dishes after meat cooked. Salt hardens meat and cause it not cook well. PPreparing time: 15 minutes Cooking time: 35 minutes total ( w/ pressure cook) 2.5 hrs in the oven Ingredients: 2 Lbs. shoulder beef (cut 1 inch cubes) 1 medium size red onions (chopped in small cubes) 1/2 Cup olive oil 1/2 C chopped green onion 1 tbsp. peppercorn 2 tbsp. oregano (thyme) 1 Tbsp. black pepper 2 medium size tomatoes (chopped in small cubes) 1 sweet banana pepper (chopped) 3 cloves chopped garlic 1tsp. turmeric 1 tbsp. thyme 1 Tbs. black pepper 1 tbsp. cayenne pepper 1 red chili pepper 1/2 tbsp. tomato paste 1 tbsp. salt Preparation: Heat 1 tbsp. olive oil in a sauce pan Add 1 onion, thyme, and peppercorn Add meat with a tablespoon of water. Add the green onion, green pepper, chili pepper, cayenne pepper, turmeric, garlic and black pepper sauté for 2 minutes on high heat Just stir once Add tomato, hot pepper paste, salt keep stirring and sautéing on high heat for another couple of minutes Transfer the whole meal into the clay pot, close the lid tight and let it bake for 2.5 hrs Serve the kebob into the serving dish with desired side dish like rice or potato puree.
