Baked Apples
Ingredients:
5 Fuji apples 1 limejuice 2 tangerines juice 1Tbsp. brandy (if desired) 1Tbsp. cinnamon 1 tsp. nutmeg 2 Tbsp. coconut oil 1/2 C coconut sugar (1/4 C brown sugar) 1/2 C instant oatmeal 2 Tbsp. butter 1/4 C chopped walnut Making: Peel the apples and slice them Place in a flat dish Bring lime and tangerine juices, brandy, cinnamon, nutmeg, sugar and coconut oil in a sauce pan. Caramelize the mixture for 3-4 minutes on medium heat Spread on the apples. Cook the apples on a low heat until softens (approximately for 10 minutes) Transfer them in a baking dish. Mix oatmeal, walnut and melted butter in a bowl and spread on cooked apples. Bake the apples in the 300 F oven until oatmeal gets crisp and walnut pieces gets brown Serve warm. 4/1/2016 Back to Vegetable selections |
